Kylie Jenner is definitely one of the fabulous people when it comes to the world of glamour and bling. Only 22, she is reputed to be a billionaire in her right with her perfume range and earnings from Keeping Up With Kardashians which was the marketing phenomena of the last five years. And what better place to celebrate your 22nd birthday than on a superyacht in the med.
Tranquility does not come cheap
The Motor Yacht Tranquility charters for 1.1 million euros a week – plus another 15% expenses with tips and fuel.
It has an Asian-inspired interior decor and accommodates up to 22 guests
Not that you need it in the med but it has an ice-classed hull – say you wanted to do the Antartic. More to the point is its 20m squared deck-pool with jets, a sumptuous master suite hot tub, and enormous spa and wellness zone.
You arrive by helicopter on its own helipad, chill out on the beach bar. The yacht has beauty salon, zero-speed stabilizers, gym, spa, elevator, movie theatre, tender garage, swimming platform, air conditioning, steam room, Turkish bath, beauty room, underwater lights

This superyacht de luxe has a rather shady path, however. The Tranquility was previously named Equanimity and was involved in one of history’s biggest banking frauds.
In March 2018 Indonesian authorities seized Equanimity. The US Department of Justice had been working on this case in relation to a multi-billion banking fraud since 2016 and named Jho Low, the alleged owner of Equanimity, as a key figure in the US lawsuit. They claimed funds used for the acquisition of the yacht were transferred from a Malaysian sovereign wealth fund 1MDB between 2009 and 2015
Sold for a knocked down price
On 29 October 2018, Malaysia started an auction of the Equanimity through the Monaco based yacht brokerage firm Burgess, which was appointed by the High Court of Malaya to assist with the sale of the superyacht. It was sold for US$126 million, half of what it cost to build.
Jho Low who is on Interpol’s Red List is now a fugitive and is said to be laying low in China, having plundered billions. In his time, though, he was a Hollywood big shot throwing extravagant parties, chartering jets for his newfound actor buddies – including Leonardo Di Caprio and Jamie Fox – and doing the whole Howard Hughes big-time money thing. He was, for a brief spell, Mr Hollywood Fun Guy. Legendary parties, funded by stolen money.
They invited him to the Grammy awards. People were taken in.
